Ryke Leigh Douglas created a great children’s book with an important message for all ages. I really liked it! I believe every single child will fall in love with Tumeleng who has an adventurous spirit and is the cutest elephant that you will ever read about. And have you seen this precious cover? I recommend The Tale of Tumeleng as it is a great book for you to think about the importance of bravery and how it is ok for children to be afraid, but with the strength of family and friends they can overcome it.

Ryke, without fail, continues to wow me with her stories. Every time I read a piece of hers, I am delighted with the scenes and true-to-life details despite it being a work of fiction. Sam’s Surprise may be a children’s book yet it’s pretty amusing for a young adult like me as I go through the pages. The important messages are clear and the humor is on point. The word choice is also perfect for children as it’s not complicated to comprehend. The illustrations vibrantly drawn by Kevin Collier allow every moment of the book to come alive. The colors of the illustrations are not straining to the eyes too!

Oh, no! Will the best day of Ian's and Mitch's vacation be ruined?
Two city boys, Ian and Mitch, have gone to Mitch's grandparents' farm in Pennsylvania for part of their summer vacation. Today is their trip to the local fair. Roller coasters, merry-go-rounds and -- their favorite -- the big Ferris wheel are all there for them to enjoy.
But there are funnel cakes, cotton candy and Philly cheese steak to eat, too.
When they get to the Ferris wheel, they realize they have a serious problem. They may not be able to take their favorite ride.
